Lots of GIMP goodies coming your way!
Well… I always try to fix things. This time its the availability of GIMP scripts. It not optimal to go all over the net to pick up this and that and go trough all the hassle and now a lot of scripts are broken for gimp 2.4… So I’ve started a project at source forge to collect, maintain and fix gimp scripts and provide them as a nice add-on pack. We(I have already enlisted two volunteers) have collected 44 files with 88 different functions and packed them into our first release! It contains both of my vintage film and LOMO effects scripts plus a brand new cross processing effect. Also others have contributed brand new scripts.

I would like to thank Alexia for initiating this huge endeavor! I’m a Windows user, but the release candidates and previous improvements over 2.2.17 have been available to Linux users for some time - I don’t know why so few script authors were up to speed; so many of their scripts are BRILLIANT, but perhaps they’ve just “moved on.” Thank God Alexia hasn’t!! As the poster above said, “Thanks for the gift to GIMP users!”
This involves tremendous effort on her part; as a photographer relying on the GIMP to make a living (it’s sooooo much better than PhotoShop now!!), I sincerely appreciate her work, and even more so her willingness to get back to me in record time with kind answers to some questions I had. I can handle css, I can’t write a GIMP script to save my life, and am immensely grateful to all the authors and Alexia’s organizational skills and drive in solving the “2.4 dilemma!”
Best wishes Alexia, and thnx.

Thanks, Alexia! I’m extremely grateful for the work you (and your volunteers) have put into this effort. Even now, I’m putting your hard work to good use. Estonian GIMPgrrrls rock!
