New toys = more fun

My photography intrest has been getting deeper. And thus, I now own some macro tools, my two kit lenses cover the every day need and my Rubinair 8/500 scratches my itch for shooting pictrures of the moon…

moon

This is a simple reduction of a full frame shot with the rubinair and a 2x teleconverter.

For macro I now have both the macro rings and the bellows.

This picture was taken with bellows and a Helios-44 that is the kit lens for Zenith cameras mostly. My dad had one lying about from the old days. The chain on this picture is really about 1,5mm thick.

I’ve also lately looked into studio photogaphy as a whole and as I dont have much money to spare I must do stuff on my own. Fortunatley many people with similar intrests share their experiences and with the help of http://www.diyphotography.net/ I made a small shooting stage and softbox with unbelivable results. Photographers job is hard…

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

Im not kidding. A coworker of mine talked me into taking pictures of his friends funeral. My first photographing gig. Major learning experience. A young man had been killed when the rear tyre of his new motorbike bursted at full speed. It was a sad funeral with lots of people. The day was an extreemley hot one with bright sunlight and sharp shadows outside and service being held in darkish church for the cameras eye. Its extreemely difficult to get any good photos in tose conditions. The pictures made in church had underexposed backrounds the pictures outside had strong shadows on everything… And you must always get everywhere ahead of the procession… Lots of running to and fro, constantly trying not to disturb the grieving. Sigh. Im never going to underestimate a photographers job for one thing.

Wallpapers!

My photogallery now contains in addition to photos a selection of my wallpapers. Take a look, you may find something you like.

Change in licensing.

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Ive discovered the adjusabillity of creative commons licenses and unless stated otherwise, all content on this site is licenced under following licence:

Creative Commons License

Now I can pick off most of the silly copyright notices and know that my indent has been made clear, hopefully resulting in a cleaner page.

Photobloging?

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

So. Theres new buzzword around! Photoblogs! I hear it here, I hear it there… Perhaps it tis time to start my own? This page as been kind of deserted since I finished creating it. Now its time to put it into good use. But just a photoblog? Desert my digital creations path and just post photos? No! This will be art&photo blog. My coppermine gallery will soon have sections for my digital drawing and wallpapers as well.

Victory at deviantART!

Monday, February 20th, 2006

I actaully was placed in a contest for Valentine’s day with my creation All I see is you, my Valentine… I won a prints account. So now the world can buy my art, if it so wishes. It probably wont, but hey, theres no harm in offering…

Finally got my photogallery up…

My hostingprovider only allows ONE ftp session and the server regulary drops the line, so uploading a million little files like the coppermine gallery is a KILLER! Its linked on the page, so go check ;)

My new site is up :)

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

Finally I have a working manageable site here. Finding a CMS for it was a total drag. I tryed this and that and finally found WordPress… It provides everything I need from a personal site: skinablillity and manageabillity…

So have a look a round, read this and read that, and dont be too mortifyed by the grimm and colorless look of this place. It is a peaceful place…
